Power/ lock button not responding

I have a Iphone 4 CDMA that the power/lock button isnt responding. However I have a IPhone 4 GSM and I would like to know if I can take the button from the GSM and put it in the CDMA.

No. The flex cables are different. But if the button is not responding because the click is no longer happening. The click portion can be transferred. When working on the power button it is best to remove the front screen to protect the flex cables, especially the LCD flex cable from damage. If no click, the part that needs to be transferred is the top portion of the flex button. It is a simple sticker, with half the internal metal part of the button, and on the other side is the minute plastic nub that allows the button to work and click. Just transfer the sticker with the nub and metal top half of internal button of the flex cable.

We refer to it as the nipple

You can take the nipple but I would highly not recommend it because the part is only a few bucks new
