Battery percentage staying the same!

i bought a new battery from amazon, but the same thing happened from before (battery shows it charging, with the lightning bolt next to it, but it won't go up one bit). i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out a way to prevent this from happening again.

You have a couple of different possibilities here:

1.) Worst case--this really is fake charging. That can be due to a burned U2 charging ic chip from non-Apple charger usage. Not feasible to repair.

2.) Bad battery---more common than you'd think, especially from eBay/Amazon sellers

3.) You knocked off a filter near the battery connector that is required for the board to 'read' the battery percentage. In this case, the phone will likely reboot when it can't get a temp reading.

I have tested an iFixit battery before---it truly had 0 cycles on it. I think they have good parts and excellent customer service from my experience as an end user.

Jessa, could you check my story here? You seem to know what's what..

Charging but % doesn't go up, UNLESS bump my phone. (Still-Not-Solved).
