No bootable Disk and unable to do anything

I was trying to install windows using bootcamp. The install failed so I then tried switching to the OSX side. I tried holding option while starting up and all that comes up is a white screen then a black screen saying to please insert a bootable disk. Would a bad logic board cause this ? It was working fine until the failed windows install.

Sounds like your HD is messed up. You'll need to boot up under the recovery disk that came with your system or using a FireWire external HD, or lastly connect your system to another system so you can setup your system in Target Mode.

Then running Disk Utility try to repair the disk, or you'll need to reformat it and re-install the OS.

The hard drive is fine. It worked in another laptop.

Then I think you hit the NVIDIA GPU issue here and it was just at the same time you were in the process of setting up your HD. Sadly, this will require a new GPU chip to fix correctly.

Would baking the logic board help correct the problem?

by

No. Baking motherboards is a bad idea.

So I just need to get a new logic board ?
