Usually it's not the problem with the antenna.

So.... What is usually the problem?
If the switch is greyed out, the wifi chip is dead. If the chip is alive but the reception is poor on specific bands, check specific antennas.
How do you replace wifi chip?
You will need to carefully scrape away the underflow from around the chip (using hot air helps quite a bit). Once the underflow is removed from the edges flux the chip and use hot air. Wait till you see movement in the chip or you can tap it to see if it moves. Once it is hot enough carefully remove chip. Pulling pads is easier on these repairs than most. This is a fairly difficult repair so make sure you are confident.
Hope this is not your primary device!
Now I bought a new WiFi antenna bracket? From this website to replace, I replaced it along with the power cable accessory, the cable button repair worked but my WiFi is still grayed out. So will that heat trick work? Do I hat up the WiFi bracket I just replaced? Thanks for any help, I am beyond frustrated with not having WiFi , thanks!
look pic-( but if you will touch any of components with fingers, clean them with abefore reassembly )
