replace 2009 MacBook Pro Logicboard with 2010 Logicboard?

Hi, i have here a Macbook Pro 13-inch from 2009 with a faulty Logicboard, i found a Logicboard of a 2010 13-inch Macbook Pro on Ebay and read somewhere that those two could be used in both cases. Can someone confirm this? That would be super-handy, because then i kind of would have a working AND upgraded Macbook Pro :)

Jonah, Sorry I just didn't see your question before now.

Generally you can only replace logic boards within the same series. In this case these are the systems within your '09 model: MacBookPro5,5. Here's is the '10 models: MacBookPro7,1.

Often Apple moves things around enough to make it hard to force fit even similar systems. I've not personally tried doing this on this series so I can't say its not possible, just be aware you're a trailblazer here.

Here's the Guides for both review them carefully before you start:

core 2 duo and i5 are 2 different generations, different bus speed, different memory. Not compatible within the macs 2010 and 2009. These two will take only core 2 duo processors
