Everything is huge, No resolution sizes on iMac

I just finished replacing my cracked imac late 2012 screen. The computer posts but everything is huge and pixelized. When I get to display under system pref, there are no resolutions under scaled. I have no idea whats going on.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I just restarted and now it wont even turn on.

I got it to turn on again. The screen works when its woken out of sleep, but everything is still 640x480 and my monitor is detected as: 'spdisplays_display'

by

Another update. After another boot the monitor looks like its off, but when I flash a light on the screen at a certain angle I can see my desktop, which leads me to believe the backlighting isnt working on the screen, but that doesnt explain why there are no resolutions

This may be a warranty issue, please give us the last four figures of your serial number located on the bottom of your stand or in "about this Mac", under Hardware if it will boot to a viewable screen.

Look on the bottom of the stand to see if you have a AMD Radeon HD 6970M video card.

1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays.

2. Click Display, click Scaled, then select a resolution. Some apps may not fit entirely on the screen in some scaled resolutions.

That looks like a driver issue. Either you need to install some drivers for that new screen, or your gpu has failed and your computer is using your logicboard to output video.
