I found muddy iPhone 6 in the lake

Ifound Phone 6 in the lake which was starting to grow moss. I assuming it's been there for weeks. i brushed it with tooth brush, blow dry, and used vacuum cleaner to suck all water and moisture out . After a day I turned it on. it turned on but it has a pass code. i tried some,combination but it got disabled. I googled how to reset. I tried but got stuck with error 53.

Wow what a find!

Sadly, I'm sure the original owner has bricked the phone. So even if you got it working enough to use, the iCloud lock on the phone will make it not usable.

Maybe you can post a lost & found message so the owner can reclaim the phone. If I was the owner I'd give you a reward!

Error 53 is Touch ID related, if the Touch ID chip is damaged, the thing is impossible for everyone except Apple to repair.

Try to clean the phone again, if not working, throw it back into the lake.

It needs to go back in the lake. Somewhere there in the world there is a frog that hasn't been on Facebook for a week and his friends are starting to worry....
