Battery replacement not charging. Showing Battery is not charging.

I've replaced the battery on our Macbook Pro 15" Early 2011 with a refurbished battery from iFixit. All went in fine installing it.

When the system is booted, it shows that battery icon switching between 0% (Battery is not Charging) and No Battery Available.

I have reset the SMC via Apples instructions. I have verified my cabling connection.

Do I just have a bad replacement?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Help us help you. The more complete the description of your problem is (what caused you to replace the battery in the first place - were there charging problems before - any falls or liquid damage?) the more assistance we can provide, and, the sooner we can provide it.

This is the volunteer DIY help form, we are not affiliated with iFixit in any way so if you're trying to contact iFixit customer service use the link at the bottom of the page.

IHO yes you could have a bad replacement battery but that is best addressed by the vendor (in this case iFixit).
