How to retrive data from flash storage in MBA?

Hi

I my MBA (mid 2012, 13''3', 256GB) just died the other day and I was told the logic board needs replacing which is the same price as a new one. I was wondering if there is any way to get all my stuff off the flash storage without repairing the logic board?

Yes, there's hope!

OWC has a case which you can put your current SSD into OWC Envoy Portable - Bus-Powered USB 3.0 SSD Enclosure.

Once you get the SSD out and mounted you should be able to copy off what is on it (backing it up just in case). I would do that before bring the system in.

You'll need to put it back though, as I'm sure when they replace your logic board they will move your SSD over.
