Display not working after opening.

Macbook late 2007 (White)

I've just followed this guide

(MacBook Core 2 Duo Hard Drive Connector Replacement) because a replacement hard drive was not seating properly. I've put everything back together and turned the Macbook on only to find that the display stays black. What have I done wrong?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Recheck that you completed step 15 correctly as that step deals with the display data cable. If that isn't connected properly then your display won't switch on properly. Otherwise it might be that you cleaned an internal component with a static electricity generating object (a synthetic brush maybe?) this could have disrupted any number of components.

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't go as far as that. I just lifted the keyboard up without disconnecting it. I was able to re-seat the hard drive with the limited access. I have just opened it up again and can't see any loos connections.
