Replaced track pad. Now no start up

I replaced my track pad. I bent and then broke one pin in the iSight/Bluetooth etc. connector. Don't know if that's the main problem or not but it won't boot. Fans start, white status light, but black screen. What have I done?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Connect to an external monitor. See a normal display? Then at least the logic board/VGU is ok. If not you've really mungged things up.

WIthout images of the exact damage it's tough to call but damage to those connections should not cause a black screen. If you screwed up one connector though you could have also messed up the LVDS connector and that's what carries your on-board video signal. Go over it again to ensure it is properly and fully connected (re: the note at the end of step #21).

Originally I never had to disconnect this. I was able to snake the track pad ribbon under the logic board after I gently lifted it up. I since taken it all a part 3 times with no boot. I might have damaged the board when I was trying to get a stripped screw out from the fan Assembly.
