This device is part of the second wave of Polaroid's 600 series cameras that were developed between the 1980's and 1990's. It would instantly develop the film in about three minutes and the battery was integrated into the film pack.

Why are my developed pictures extremely dark?

After taking a picture and receiving the film from the camera, the developed picture is very dark and hard to depict what is actually in the picture.

This camera has a feature to control the lighting. There is a small plastic piece that is positioned between a white and black arrow. The closer to the black arrow the darker the image. The closer to the white arrow the brighter the image. You should adjust the position of this slider closer to the white arrow and see if your problem is solved.
