Wakes up by itself

If I put the iMac to sleep, it will wake itself up and then go back to sleep. I have tried "all" of the typical fixes associated with the system preferences and resetting pram. The only possible correlation is if Firefox is left running or an iCal event/notice occurs

Answer this question I have this problem too

yes, but I confess that I do not know exactly what I am looking for. I am fairly certain that this is not an outside IP trying to take over my machine.

Two crazy thoughts... First, sometimes I'm startled to see my computer wake up from sleep by itself -- and then I realize I've bumped the mouse. Is there any input device or peripheral attached to the computer that you may be unknowingly jostling from time to time?

Second, I once had a wireless mouse that would occasionally seem to start moving around by itself. My theory was there was some kind of interference that was working on the same frequency or channel as the mouse. I stopped using that particular mouse in that particular location.
