Cracked and Black Screen? (Nexus 5)

Just about 10 minutes ago, I cracked my nexus 5's screen. It was on, and displayed nothing but a black screen. When I restarted it it still displayed only a black screen. When I plug it into my computer, it's recognized. What would be the best course of action for me?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

First, check if the screen connector got loosen and try to reconnect.

And if can't work, just replace with a new screen.

At a local store, I can get it fixed for $200. What should I do? I've never done anything of the sort, but if I could save money and it has a low risk...

DIY replacement is actually cheaper. You can search for some videos which show how to replace the screen. Have a look and consideration that if it's difficult and if you can do it.

If you think you can do it by yourself, buy the screen replacement and replace it. It will save your money.

And if you don't have the confidence, i suppose you'd better ask help for repair shop.
