Color Distortion from loose LCD connection strip?

Hi Guys,

My sister has had a Hp Slate 7 (4601) for about a year now. I believe she has dropped the tablet as the color is very distorted, almost like inverted colors. I was wondering would a loose LCD connection strip cause this? For about a week a certain amount of pressure onto the back cover would fix it, but now it is completely distorted. Would I have to order a new LCD screen?
