Why is my Emperor 400 no flowing?!

I came home today and my Emperor 400 is not cranking any water! The motor is obviously still working because I can hear it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This sounds like a jammed impeller. Fixing this can be found in the troubleshooting guide: Marineland Emperor 400 Power Filter Troubleshooting. First things first, shut off the filter. Remove the main intake line by pulling up on it while pressing down on the spray bars. Another piece needs to be removed under the main intake which will contain the impeller. Thoroughly clean this under warm water using your fingers or a cloth. Also, thoroughly clean the compartment in the filter that the impeller rests in using the provided pipe cleaner. Reassemble everything and plug the filter back in. It should be spinning again. Sometimes, small pebbles and debris can jam the impeller. It should be cleaned once a month as recommended by the manufacturer. This will of course depend on the water quality of the fish tank, overfeeding, regular water changes, etc.
