How do I keep my trimmers from running extremely hot?

How do I keep my trimmers from running extremely hot after only 10 minutes of use? They are too hot to touch after cutting the hair on my face and take about 5-10 mins to cool down.

Your clippers can be running hot for a number of different reasons. One may be that they need to be lubricated. If they are not lubricated the motor has to work harder. They will also heat up if foreign objects such as hair or loose parts are obstructing the movement of parts in the clippers. Cleaning and lubrication should solve this issue. I can't imagine that is true mine are brand new and I'm experiencing the exact same thing they've been oiled prior to using oiled during using and burning my hands off
