Possible to swap keys on keyboard with older mac?

Hi, I'm planning on upgrading from an early 08 MacBook Pro (non-unibody) to a new unibody MacBook Pro. However, I really like the old keys on my keyboard and I hate the new keyboard design on the unibodys. Is it possible to pop out the keys on both laptops and swap them? Are they interchange-able?

Thanks so much!

Edit: Would there be enough space on the new unibodys for the old keys? And would the back-light work (provided the unibody has the function) the same with the old keys?

Response to your edit: The backlight is completely separate from the keycaps, it will work, and there should be enough space, the actual sizes of the keys haven't changed.
