Screen going crazy

Hi, I have a broken iPod Touch 1st generation. Nothing is wrong with it (or so it seems) besides the LCD. The image is always flickering and moving around the screen. I am able to see the text sometimes, but it's largely unreadable due to its quick flickers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31RqmyyYv... Here's a video. In the first few seconds, you can see the Apple logo booting up but then the screen slowly fades to white and doesn't change anymore until the screen turns off and back on.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

plug it in and right when the apple logo appears, hold down the home button for 15 seconds for DFU mode to activate and restore it that way, my screen did something similar 3 days ago and i did that several times as itunes kept failing to restore my ipod i got many errors but eventually i turned my computer off and went to bed. in the morning i turned my computer on and tried again and it worked
