Logged on as Limited User account?

I just installed the Atrac CD software. And this pops out. "You are logged on as a Limited account user. Some functions are not available. In order to have access to all SonicStage functions you must log on to an account as an administrator or Power User privileges." I already am logged in as an administrator. Am I still missing something? I am using a Sony Vaio laptop CS series.

The best thing to do is try an alternative login. Create another admin account and try the install again. Also, if you hold shift and right click on the installer, you can select 'Run As' and run the installer as admin.

I am also a Sony Minisdisc user facing this notification after I bought a new Windows 7, 64 bit computer. I do not quite get what you wrote.

An alterniative login? I don't have any login, I can just run the program freely. Create another admin, what do you meabn by admin?

What is click on the installer?

Thank you.

hold shift and right click on the PROGRAM, you can select 'Run As' and run the PROGRAM as administrator.

jitske, when you purchased your computer and installed all the windows 7 drivers/programmes etc, you will have entered your details... in other words you are the administrator for your computer. You may not have to login each time you are on your computer as you don't share it or have no need to (ie if you've kids using it and you want to limit them but not yourself) but should you have anyone else use the computer you can set them an account whereby they would be unable to delete your settings, move files/folders etc.Or, and this is what machead and paul are trying to say.. you can set yourself up another account and give yourself administrator privileges in order to install the software.

I'm not familiar with exactly how to do this on win7, have a look at what machead has written, or try control panel.

Thank you so much! Just got my old Walkman up and running again. The first solution - press shift when you are on the desktop and right click the icon and select 'Run As Administrator' worked! :)
