The new console is call the Playstation 3 Super Slim and is identified by the model number, CECH-4000. The PlayStation 3 Super Slim (CECH400x) is the third version of the PS3 video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released October 25, 2012.

Will my Canadian PS3 CECH-4201B work in UK?

Bringing a CECH-4201B PS3 to UK. Is this model dual voltage? Can I simply plug this model into the wall using an adapter or do I need a step down converter? thanks.

JOHN RICHMOND, "In a similar fashion to the PS3 Slim, the power supply is designed for inputs ranging from 100V to 240V AC, making it usable across the globe." you will not need a converter. from here. It is a universal power supply. All you need is a power cord the fits the UK outlet. Hope this helps, good luck.

You don't:-) but Sony does maintain a universal power supply across all their platforms. If you are unsure, use this guide and check for yourself:-)
