After replacing the battery, my iPhone 5 won't charge

I have iPhone 5 with broken LCD and a very bad battery (it dies at 40%). So I decided to replace them both.

I bought new LCD and battery from iFixit and replaced them both without any obvious problems.

After that I connected my iPhone to a power source and worked and charged (60%-70%). Then I unplugged my iPhone from the power source, and here came the problem. My iPhone immediately died. I tried turning it ON but it said better is low. I reconnected it to the power source for over 10 hours but it won't charge a bit and it won't turn on.

After that I tried looking for the problem source. I opened up the iPhone and unplugged the new battery, then connected the iPhone to my computer. Apple logo keeps appearing every 5 seconds but it doesn't go any further. Also the computer doesn't recognize the iPhone. After that I plugged the battery and still the same.

What might be the problem ??

Thanks in advance

Try the old battery see if it starts up again.. Did you pry the battery out against the logic board?

I tried the old battery and it worked just fine. Does this mean the new battery is defective ??

And if so, can I send it back to iFixit ??
