Digitizer LCD problems after repair

I replaced the digitizer LCD assembly and there are 2 thin lines running down the length of the phone about 1/4 inch apart. (on the right side of the phone running from top to bottom) In between the lines, the touchscreen doesn't work. Is this a bad part or a connection problem?

Thanks,

Karen

I see this all the time. Try re-seating the connectors. Sometimes they seem to be all the way in but are not. That fixes it most of the time. If it doesn't then yes, you have a defective part.

As PDM says, reconnect the connectors, and also disconnect the battery to do e power cycle. Also check for dust and dirt in the connectors on the motherboard :-)
