upgrade from 10.4 to 10.6?

I have got an "old" A1212 MacBook Pro with :

processor 2.33 Ghz

Intercore 2 duo

memory 2 Go 667 Mhz

DDR2

OS 10.4.11

Is it possible, and worthy, to upgrade and what (OS, other ?) ?

Pre-Installed MacOS: X 10.4.8 (8N1051) Maximum MacOS: X 10.7.5*

No problem going to 10.6.8

I have A1151 MBP 17" laptop early '06 have upgraded HD ~160GB~it is original 1,2have upgraded ram to 2GB

Can I upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8 ???
