Can a broken lcd screen be fixed?

I recently accidentally broke my samsung note 2. The screen was cracked, and when I tried to turn it on, the screen was still black, although there are indications that it is on. Sometimes the screen shows a bit of my wallpaper and all, but I can't press or do anything on it. Can it be fixed?
