Home button only works when pressure applied on right side

Home button only works when pressure is applied to the bottom right corner of the phone next to the home button. Already replaced ribbon cable. Any idea why pressure would work? The metal contacts for the ribbon cable or on the left side of the home button. Pressure on the left side does not work only on the right side of the home button.

Shouldn't I try to push down on the gold contacts since it only works when pressure is applied to the opposite side of the screen?
