Proximity Sensor in replacement screen

I replaced the broken screen in my iPhone 5 with the ifixit part and now the proximity sensor does not work too well. Is the sensor a component for the replacement part, or is it integrated with the front facing camera assembly, or what? Also, the replacement part did not have the clear plastic alignment component for the front camera and it didn't appear to be something that could be moved from the old part to the new part.

Yes, it is integrated with the front camera assembly. Also, you can remove the plastic alignment piece from the original LCD. Pry it off carefully and do it inside of a box or something because it has the tendency to fly off and can be easily lost. Be aware that you won't be able to glue it into the new LCD, you will need to just place it in the correct location and it will be held in place by the camera and speaker bracket.
