Touch screen unresponsive after some use

I couldn't describe it well in the description, but my iPhone 5's touch screen just recently became unresponsive. So, when I start up my iPhone it'll work just fine for an hour or two then I'll have some faint blueish lines across the screen then it won't respond to any touch. To fix it I can shut it off then turn it back on, but it only works for a short amount of time before it becomes unresponsive. If anyone has any idea of what could be wrong with my phone please help.

maybe the iPhone 5 touch screen digitizer is broken. You can DIY repair it after checking YouTube video.

Open up the phone and disconnect the screen cables and reconnect then turn on and see if it happens again
