No led lights to diagnose power problem.

Hi, I have none of the four led lights showing up to indicate what may be the problem? I thought it may have been a faulty power inlet plug, but that seems fine. I have checked the logic board with no apparent sign of burnt components I have removed and connected all cable connectors in the unit and have swapped ram and still no luck. The removal of the psu showed signs of bubbled looking cracks in the tracks on the board? could this be the problem with these tracks not making contact? would this problem show no power what so ever to get a led reading to diagnose? Im not sure if the leds are effected by this as I thought the 1st led off was to show power faulty, would this carry over and effect the remaining leds as a sign of a power fault.

Thanks guys.

You usually get the first green light if there is even trickle power coming in, even when the power supply is bad. It sounds like you power supply is so badly burned that not even trickle power is getting through. To be sure test the lines coming into the power supply with a multimeter to make sure power is actually getting to the PSU. There are several powers supplies that are comparable with the A1225. I would look for the newest one that will work. Sorry I don't have time to look it up right now as my date just walked in the door. Have a great night as I will ;-)

Thanks Mayer,

I have tested the power cable with a multimeter and thats fine. I will test if power is getting to the psu next, if that fails, replace psu and test again.

I'll have a great night when I get to the bottom of this, eventually.
