Broken Inverter Socket Fix?

Hello, i was recently working on the 2.2GHZ Santa Rosa late 2007 macbook so as to replace the broken LCD, however, when i got to the step for the Inverter Cable, i unfortunently broke of the socket, so was wondering if there was any way possible to fix it, perhaps via Soldering it back on?

EDIT:

Here's a picture of the place where the inverter cable is (or was atm)

Evan, yes absolutely possible to solder it back on, if the traces on the board have not been destroyed. It should be a straight forward soldering job, again depending on the damage of the PCB as well as the connector itself. Safest would be to replace the complete inverter. It is not very expensive and that way you would be guaranteed that it works. It does depend on your skills as well. You will find the guides for the inverter replacement on here Hope this helps, good luck

very good to know, do you perhaps know of any pictures that could show me what the board would look like if the traces were not destroyed?
