Not sure if I have a battery

I replaced my magsafe connector and the battery on my MacBook Unibody Model A1342 at the same time. Now I have no power without the laptop being plugged in.

I had kind of accepted the fact that I fried my logic board however it seems that now when it is unplugged it keeps it's state in memory, like it's waking up from a deep sleep. It goes to sleep and sometimes shuts down when I unplug it. Does not wake up unless it is plugged in and I press the power button.

I tried switching back to the old magsafe connector and battery but it did not change anything. Is my logic board fried or is it something else?

It's like there is a connection to the battery but it is only very slight.

Put the old battery back in and run Coconut Battery.
