Is it possible to replace the digitizer and not the LCD?

Is it possible to replace JUST the touch screen digitizer and not the LCD?

I am wondering this too... I have a Surface RT and a Surface 2 that both have Cracked digitisers... LCD is fine.

I Can now confirm that its not possible... Well not practical.

The LCD is glued to the Digitiser... Glued tight.

I tried to do it but the LCD ended up cracking. more trouble then its worth, I am just going to replace the LCD and Digitiser (buy it as one assembly off eBay or something) its only like $40 dearer.
