How do you discharge the CRT?

I have a Macintosh 128K that I just purchased from Kijiji and I hear a rattling sound. I'd like to open the machine to see if it's something I can easily resolve but based on this iFixit teardown and folks in these comments I understand there are risks due to a capacitor on the CRT. How exactly do you discharge this so that I can safely open the Mac?

Step three of this guide demonstrates the discharging procedure on a Macintosh SE/30. Once you get the rear casing of the 128k removed, the discharging method is identical. iFixit's Mac 128k teardown shows how this casing can be removed in steps five and six. Good luck and please be careful!
