Spark at battery connector

Hello all.

To detach the battery on a iphone 5s I used a metal separator. Very stupid off course.

I saw a spark. I connected everything back and try to Power on.

But it did not turn on.

Any change I can repair It?

Fuses or so?

Reconnect all connectors.

If it is still not work, the flex cable for battery or screen may be broken while you repairing.

Thank you. It seemed the battery was dead by the spark, let the battery think it was 0%.

Nothing could start it. But a connection to the power outlet give it a battery indicater of 1% and after few seconds 94%.

Lucky that everything was working.

Killed an iPhone 4s doing this once. It's a burnt fuse, capacitor or some component.

Had a spark while reinstalling the battery connector cover plate. I was using metal tweezers to put it in place. DON'T USE METAL TWEEZERS TO PUT IT IN PLACE! I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it still wasn't working at all.

I plugged the phone into my laptop and it started up normally. I felt very lucky but if you have this problem hopefully it works for you too.

I also used a metal tool to disconnect my battery on an iPhone 6s. I got a small spark. The phone after that would not power up. I fulled reassembled the phone and then plugged it into a wall charger. After a few seconds, I got the battery picture on the phone and then it powered back up. No issues now, working fine. So if you have this same issue, try this first before taking it in for repair.
