i have a iphone 5 i opened it one day to replace the home button and everything was fine, a few weeks later i opened it again to change it again. this time when i replaced i the button stopped working.
i have tried replacing the home button cable but even that didn't work.
does anyone have any other advice for me because it's making me go crazy i just can't figure it out

Does the button still click? Check the alignment of the replacement flex cable if you haven't already. On the dock, check that the little contacts are standing correctly. If they aren't tall enough or are crooked it won't work.

i was thinking that maybe the connectors weren't touching but how can i make sure that they are, because you can't see it when you close it
