Headphone jack no longer working after screen replacement

Hi all,

I have been doing repairs on all Apple products since the iPhone 3 but been running into a few issues lately.

I replaced a smashed iPhone 5 screen and since replacement the headphone jack no longer detects headphones.

This is the first time I have come across this, has anyone else?

I read elsewhere on here that a software restore may fix the problem but i wanted to gather more information first before doing this.

Thanks in advance.

When replacing the screen you shouldn't have any contact with the headphone jack so I would say it's a software issue or either a damaged componant on the motherboard!

Try the restore and report back

I tried the SW reboot with no luck. Still searching to see if there are any other solutions that may be out there. May just end up replacing the jack.
