Why is the screen not turning on but Itunes load?

i replaced the screen on my iphone 5 as my orginal one was broken, i didn't put it on fully (but worked perfectly) so took it back off and then when i put it back on nothing comes up not even the back light, the only time it does anything is when its plugged in when it bongs every few seconds when its on loud and vibrates on silent. ive tried restoring it and checked the it was updated but nothing.

when I plug it into my laptop itunes comes up and i can back up, sync ect and the folder loads with the photos i have taken.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi there recheck the screen connection are seeded correctly if they are you may have damaged the cables as a iPhone that bongs usually means a damaged screen

First of all, i would suggest as 'Con' has above, but if cables are secure and there's no damage to flex then possibly...............

if you didn't switch the phone off prior to changing the screen, the phone could have went into a safety mode and not show anything on the screen as there's still power on.

it's happened to me a few times, to resolve the issue i've had to back it up, restore and then back up from restore.
