I bought the iMac G5 on ebay a few weeks ago and now it will not power on. Don't know if they sold me a bad system or if it was a power surge 2 days ago. I just bought a power supply #614-0327 from a 17 inch iMac. Will it work in my 20 inch?

Hi, The numbers for the 17" and the 20 " iMacs don't match so I would say it wouldn't work. I'm further puzzled by the number you state as what I find is a part number of 661-3625 for the 20 " iMac and 661-3627 for the 17 " unit. In the for what its worth department these units have had a lot of trouble with capacitors and there are kits available to replace them if you want to get into that.
Double check your numbers and if your replacement unit is 661-3625 it should work. Good luck Ralph
