Steam from ventilation slot behind the display

Hello! What it is?

My iMac(21.5, middle 2010)at startup emit(give off, send out) steam from ventilation slot behind the display. Not smell of burning, just steam. Then working as usual, but I'm very worried. If this is important, it is connected to an audio interface (Focusrite Saffire Pro 24(firewire)) and usb-hub(with power adapter). Thanks.

Unless your machine has gotten wet, that is not steam (which is produced by water), it's most likely smoke from something burning. I'd take it in to a qualified Apple repairman for diagnostics. This is potentially dangerous.

Yes! Need to disconnect the system from your power outlet until you've gotten the system serviced ASAP.

I have the exact same machine on my bench that the power supply caught on fire.
