No lights shown on power up of 24 inch 2008 iMac

iMac "Core 2 Duo" 3.06 24-Inch (Early 2008)

iMac won't power up no fans no diagnostic lights shown - not even for a few seconds when plugged in to wall outlet. Got new power supply still no response.

Not sure if AC line filter is fried - if so how can i tell- has it got caps and can it be repaired.

Also how do i identify which of the 12 pins of the power supply is ground and what volts are expected from the others.

The 20" iMac power supply is different and is shown with photos but is not enough help
