Dropped MacBook with Broken Hinge having Trackpad Issues

Hello,

My girlfriend dropped her MacBook Pro 13" about 2 months ago but everything worked fine after, but now, for the past 2 weeks or so she has been having trackpad issues. Areas of the trackpad won't respond or the entire trackpad doesn't respond, also, the cursor will move all by itself. I brought the MacBook Pro into the local Apple Store and they took it in the back and opened it up. They saw where she dropped it, and said that the hinge on the right side was broken and because of that the trackpad ribbon got torn. (I can't tell how the trackpad cable would be anywhere near the hinge, and I really can't figure out why they say they can only fix it by replacing the entire display assembly for $750) But, what I need to know is where can I get a new hinge and a new trackpad cable?

The trackpad cable could be disconnected or damaged... there are "known issues" where the ribbon cable for the track pad runs through a narrow slot between the battery and logic board. Hammering on the keys (using roughly) can cause a guillotine like action on the ribbon.
