charging problems & weird trackpad following wine tasting, what to do?
Hey guys!
My lovely girlfriend (i do love her, but i also love my mac...) spilled white wine on my macbook pro late 2011 a couple of month ago. I turned it off immediately and turned it upside-down. I turned it on 3 days later. It works fine except :
- If I unplug the charger and stick it back in it will take a while for the charging to start (usually several hours). If I leave the charger plugged in it will keep on charging no problem. I tried another macbook pro charger with no luck
- Only the upper part of the trackpad works and not very well. I have to use a plug-in mouse and turn off the trackpad otherwise the mouse acts weird!
My questions: What do you think the problem is? can I fix this myself? How? (I already bought the tools here to take the macbook apart).
Thanks guys, I really love my mac and I'm an apple developer so it would be really great if I could get it back to work normally!

Is this a good question?

An entire top case is very expensive. How would you go about to repair the trackpad? Same procedure as for the logic board?

Macbook Pro fully fixed. Took out the logic board that has rusty parts. Cleaned it with methyl alcool & toothbrush. It charges fine now and is even quicker. Bought a new Trackpad: works as new (although maybe only cleaning the old one might have been enough: I'll never know). Big thanks for your help guys!
