Vertical grey lines on iPhone 5 screen

I replaced the lightning dock connector on an iPhone 5 everything went smoothly but when I reconnected and slotted the screen back into place there were vertical lines going down the screen. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these lines? What causes them? How can I prevent it from happening in the future?

Thank very much in advance

It happens to me sometimes. What I do is, I check and see if the connections are placed correctly. If so, i either loosen up the side screws holding the heat plate or just take them off.

Connectors of screen assembly pop off easily. It will cause vertical lines or white screen. So reconnect the screen.
