After replacing the lighning cable port on my iphone 5, I am getting a popping sound through the speaker. It is subtle, but pops when I go to certain apps. It pops (kind of a crackle actually) and then stops. I am wondering if I didn't get something connected tightly or what. It also pops (crackles) when it turns off. I'd appreciate any advice available. thanks!

Sounds like a loose connection to me especially since it happened after opening it up and doing a repair. First suggestion would be to go back in and double check everything you did make sure its clean and reflow the solder. If that doesnt make a difference do around the speaker and volume controls its possible something got lose you didnt actually mess with so just check all of that reflow some solder you should be good.
