MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 older battery compatibility?

Background: I spilled water on my mba 13" mid 2013 a few months ago. I took it to the apple store and they said they had to replace everything for $750+. I decided to try to take it apart and clean it out myself with 99% isopropyl alcohol. The laptop works when plugged in.

I found out that if I swapped my battery with a friend's battery (same model: mba 13" mid 2013), it worked fine without being plugged in.

With this in mind, I went online to see if I could buy a macbook air battery model A1496 for my laptop. The apple store said that they wouldn't sell me only the battery alone. I can only find a couple that are too expensive in my opinion ($300+).

Question:

I know that the A1496 is compatible with older model macbook airs (mba mid 2012). I want to know if the older battery model is forward compatible (i.e., does the A1405 work with my mba mid 2013?)

I emailed the ifixit customer service and they said that they haven't tested it yet.

My real questions are: What are the risks of trying out the older A1405 in my mid 2013 mba? (Keeping in mind that the power rating of the A1405 is 6700 mAh while the power rating of the A1496 is 7150 mAh) Are there any long-term/short-term risks? How can I test compatibility on my own safely without blowing out my laptop?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The mAh rating of your battery will not be " blowing out my laptop" mAh is really just a measure of the chemical energy stored in the battery. The 7150mAh battery will provide energy longer than the 6700mAh.

So should the A1405 battery be compatible then?

Are there any risks to trying it out on my laptop?

Looks like the only risky thing are the dimensions and the connectors. I am not sure if those would fit. Otherwise, there is no harm in trying.

There is a difference in 0.3 volts. A1405 7.3v 6700 VS A1496 7.6v 7150.

. Can it burn my motherboard? Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks!
