Screen won't attatch completely

My screen cracked a while back and I wanted to do the replacement my self. I did everything right, I tested it and it works fine. I'm on the last step of attaching the screen but it won't attatch completely. The left side lays flat perfectly fine but the middle right doesn't. It's still lifted up, like there's something underneath but I don't see anything. The metal plate beneath looks level. Idk what it could be, I don't want to risk cracking it by pressing really hard down on the screen. Any suggestions?

Answer this question I have this problem too

you will crack it if you press too hard, it should lie perfectly flat by itself.

there are several thread here that address that if you search for them, but in essence:

1.) Dremel tool any corner dings or it will never fit.

2.) Consider removing the metal bracket to get a better fit.

3.) Make sure all the screws are in their right places--the slight variations in height is sometimes responsible

4.) Make sure the metal bracket is seated properly, and check that the dock connector and headphone jacks are not interfering.

And know that you are not alone---getting the iPod screen flat is a PITA!!!
