Dropped MacBook Pro will not power up

I dropped my MacBook Pro on a hardwood floor. It was not powered up and it was closed. When I retrieved it and inspected it there was 2 small dents on each corner of the front of it and also 2 small dents in the back right side cover near the projector plug-in. I plugged the AC adapter and the light for the adapter came on (like it was charging), however it wont boot up and the power (turn on) switch wont light up either. My screen is not cracked and other than the small dents it seem to physically fine. Can you help troubleshoot based on the info I have given you?

Can you post some pictures of the dents so we can see them?

Sorry about delayed pictures but obviously I am borrowing someone's computer :). Thanks for your response...I really appreciate it. Just hope I have not lost data and hope we can diagnosis accurately.

Thank you! I will check those out. I don't think it's the battery because when I remove and do the test, it shows fully charged.

The data should be fine unless the machine was on, the platters on the HD spinning. You really should not move a laptop when on - iPads and the like use solid state drives (no moving parts).

You could have knocked loose one or more components off connectors, the battery, (or cracked it) the RAM or your HD/SSD.

Only obtaining the proper tools and opening the box for a look see can answer those questions.
