Killing batteries one after another

In the last 2 years my mbp has killed 4 batteries. I do not leave my computer plugged in all the time. I run the batteries down and recharge them just like Apple recommends. I get a "Service Battery" and/or a "Replace Battery". I've taken it to Apple and they have run diagnostics on mbp and everything comes up clean but the battery is completely dead. Note: Battery appears to charge fine. Any ideas?

Don't run them down so far - you should recharge at 20% life left. Running them flat will reduce battery life. Using lots of peripherals or having two HDs will also shorten life.
