Accelerometer stopped working after screen repair

I just replaced the glass on my iPad 2. (This was the 3rd time I've had to fix it!!) I have not noticed that the accelerometer is no longer working. The lock switch on the right is not on. I have went into settings, and nothing is changed. It just won't move. Games that require tilting the ipad no longer work either. Any suggestions to fix this? Is this something I messed up, or will a factory reset be sufficient to fix it? ( I should also mention that I DID tear my wifi antennae so I am waiting on a replacement...so I didn't want to do the factory reset just yet! )

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hey Brian, did you ever fix this? I have the same issue

The problem was hardware related, unfortunately. I never physically damaged anything; I am very careful, and have done many iPad repairs, but I'm assuming I must have shorted something out. I purchased a new logic board, and it is working great now. Wish I had a better answer for you!

Try the factory reset. Cross your fingers that it is a software issue. A hardware issue would mean some complicated maneuvering to fix it because the 6Axis is soldered to the logic board.

Also, try a soft reset if you haven't already. That is hold power and home buttons until the device resets. Don't slide anything.
