part inside iPhone 4

While replacing my iphone 4 screen I noticed a small black piece with a groove in it and i dont know where it goes back. It is about one centimeter long and the heighth of a few sheets of paper and it has a groove in it. It appears to fasten on somewhere for possible protection or a spacer and it is rubber. can someone help? Thanks

That is the front screen flex cables bumper cushion. It is not a necessary part, but is designed to protect the cables. It sits at top edge of logic board (with groove holding logic board) under the screen flex cables.
